M.Tech in Solar and Alternative Energy
M. Tech in Solar and Alternate Energy is designed to equip graduates and working professionals in understanding of energy flow from Solar, wind, ocean, geothermal etc., ways to harness the renewable forms of energy and its optimal usage. It is a two year program with the first year dedicated to the basic courses like Thermodynamics, Heat transfer, Solar Energy- thermal and photovoltaic, and courses in Alternative Energy. The second year will be entirely devoted to project work in the area of fabrication, research and applications in the area of solar and alternative energy.

LEED LAB Certificate Courses
Amity University has joined hand with GBCI to train and educate students to cater the upcoming industry need of green building by initiating an educational module; LEED Lab. LEED Lab is a unique academic initiative which integrates a policy framework to classroom activity to get desired outcome in arena of sustainable built environment. Way forward the university has decided to start a LEED Lab for this noble cause of ensuring sustainability. It is a key educational tool connecting students passion for sustainability with their academic pursuits. It will help to equip next generation of sustainability advocates with the practical experience needed to differentiate them in todays job market. Through this programme students will be trained for Green building framework through class room activity along with project on existing building of AUH campus and their monitoring and assessment of existing building provide performance score of said building. At the end of the course students will be prepared for taking the exams of LEED Green Associate and LEED Accredited Professional.

GBCI LAUNCHES LEED LAB AT AMITY HARYANA
LEED LAB EMPANELMENT
Amity University Haryana has maintained an optimum balance of environment by conserving all the parameters of building, design, landscape, water & energy conservation, operation & maintenance, thereby achieving the LEED Platinum Certificate awarded by US Green Building Council. The University is proud to be FIRST University Campus in India and SECOND in Asia to achieve the LEED Platinum Certificate. A copy of Certificate is attached
Suryamitra Skill Development Programme to support Government in Clean Energy and EE Technology with National Institute of Solar Energy with Government of India
Suryamitra Skill Development Program was launched under the Prime minister’s Skill India Program, in the month of June 2015. Ministry of New and Renewable Energy (MNRE) assigned responsibility to National Institute of Solar Energy (NISE) for a country-wide launch of the prestigious Suryamitra Skill Development Program with a target to develop 50,000 youth in Solar PV installation by the year 2019 for the country. Amity University Haryana is a recognized training partner by National Institute of Solar Energy, MNRE. The University has conducted 5 batches of Suryamitra Training Program in collaboration with NISE. Thereby contributing towards policy development of MNRE. Each batch consists of 30 participates who undergo training for 3 months at AUH in Solar PV installation. They are trained in Solar Photovoltaics and electrical engineering. At the end of the training the University provides support for placement of these trainees in solar industries.
Low Cost Technology and Efficient Energy programe for local Community under Rural Innovation and Social Entrepreneurship (RISE)
The ‘Rural Innovation Incubator’(RII) at AUH is aimed at providing low cost need based technological solutions for rural areas which are technically feasible, economically viable, socially acceptable, environment friendly, consistent with household endowment and relevant to the needs of rural people. Under RII, students have done a survey of nearby villages and worked out on providng alternative solutions to the power and energy needs of these villagers. As a result, the incubator has ‘beta-tested’ Solar technology in Langra village. The Solar Street Lights and Solar Batteries have been installed and their results were monitored. The feedback has been taken from the local villagers which was very positive and enthusiastic.
It is worth mentioning that Amity rural innovation incubator is committed to rural innovation based ventures virtually through its execution partner in which Amity Venture fund will invest Seed Capital to take it to the next level. Execution partner will scout and select potential innovations and provide on ground incubation support to the ventures for running it successfully.
