Amity University has joined hand with GBCI to train and educate students to cater the upcoming industry need of green building by initiating an educational module; LEED Lab. LEED Lab is a unique academic initiative which integrates a policy framework to classroom activity to get desired outcome in arena of sustainable built environment. Way forward the university has decided to start a LEED Lab for this noble cause of ensuring sustainability. It is a key educational tool connecting students passion for sustainability with their academic pursuits. It will help to equip next generation of sustainability advocates with the practical experience needed to differentiate them in todays job market. Through this programme students will be trained for Green building framework through class room activity along with
project on existing building of AUH campus and their monitoring and assessment of existing building provide performance score of said building. At the end of the course students will be prepared for taking the exams of LEED Green Associate and LEED Accredited Professional.

Suryamitra Skill Development Program was launched under the Prime minister's Skill India Program, in the month of June 2015. Ministry of New and Renewable Energy (MNRE) assigned responsibility to National Institute of Solar Energy (NISE) for a country-wide launch of the prestigious Suryamitra Skill Development Program with a target to develop 50,000 youth in Solar PV installation by the year 2019 for the country. Amity University Haryana is a recognized training partner by National Institute of Solar Energy, MNRE. The University has conducted 5 batches of Suryamitra Training Program in collaboration with NISE. Thereby contributing towards policy development of MNRE. Each batch consists of 30 participates who undergo training for 3 months at AUH in Solar PV installation. They are trained in Solar Photovoltaics and electrical engineering. At the end of the training the University provides support for placement of these trainees in solar industries.
The programme will help the participants in following ways:

This Center has been developed to address the major concern of our nation ie Environmental Pollution, Air Pollution. The Center with state of art equipments cater the need of trained manpower of the country capable of development and application of cutting-edge technology-based instruments to conduct research in Environmental Pollution, Ocean-Atmosphere, Health and Climate Science. It also carry out people centric, quality academic and research directly benefitting the society and other scientific community.
In April 2017, an Air Quality Monitoring Station (AQMS), first of its kind in Haryana, has been established in the campus in collaboration with Indian Instituteof Tropical Meteorology (IITM), Pune. This versatile system, shown in the figure below, yields
24x7 high-resolution data composed of 22 parameters (PM1, PM2.5, PM10, CO, CO2, NOx, NO2, NO, NH3, SO2, O3, Benzene, Ethyl Benzene, Toluene, Xylene, Wind Speed, Wind Direction, Temperature, Humidity, Pressure and Rainfall), describing the quality of air in and around the AUH campus in Panchgaon. This emission inventory serves, in conjunction with such data from other network stations in the country, as valuable reference input to the models to predict or forecast the local and regional airquality.
In a collaborative research effort, a global network station of NASA AERONET(AErosolRObotic NET wok) site has been successfully established in May 2017 on the roof-top of Academic Block-A of Amity University Haryana, Panchgaon-Manesar-Gurgaon for regional air quality and climate research (Figure 2). The valuable data sets (column-integrated aerosol optical depth, aerosol size distribution, aerosol refractive
index, fine-mode and coarse-mode aerosol fractions, single scattering albedo, phase function, asymmetry parameter, water vapor and current satellite and long-range transport model trajectories) from this real-time sun-sky radiometer provides understanding of almost complete characterization of aerosols over different environments. These real-time, network observations yield radiative forcing due to aerosols and various gases to the earth-atmosphere radiation balance, which plays a vital role in climate change. These datasets have also been found valuable for developing models for forecast purpose and for calibrating the satellitesensors.
A cutting-edge technology-based next generation Polar Integrating Nephelometer for atmospheric research has been installed under a Academia-Industry cooperative research program between AUH, Gurgaon and Ecotech Pty Ltd Australia (Figure 3). This world-class experimental facility hasbeen installed at Ecotech make Aurora 4000 Polar Integrating Nephelometer at AUH, Panchgaon-Manesar-Gurgaon
AUH, Gurgaon in June 2017 for carrying out the investigations on the state of the atmosphere, in terms of scattering and absorption of several types of aerosols and gaseous species prevailing in the University campus. The information content of this facility would be very valuable for (i) estimation of integrated total scattering coefficient (indicator of air quality), (ii) spectral variation of scattering coefficienttoderiveparticlesizedistribution,(iii)estimationofhorizontalvisibilityandlevelofpollution, (iv) determination of particle refractive index and composition, (v) determination of asymmetry factor, (vi) particle shape and roughness and (vii) model calibration and validation of radiation transfer through the atmosphere.
A New-Generation Aethalometer has been installed at AUH in a research collaborative Project with the Indian Institute of Tropical Meteorology (IITM), Pune on 11 January 2020
New Generation AE-33 Aethalometer for Synchronous Measurements of Black Carbon Mass Concentration and Biomass Burning Contribution.
The main objective of this project was to study the spacetime characterization of simultaneous black (elemental) carbon mass concentration and biomass contribution. Very recently, this experimental facility has been extensively used during the COVID-19 pandemic and associated lockdown periods. During the periods of dense-, medium-, thin-fog and haze conditions, this instrument yielded very interesting results.
The above experimental facilities, in conjunction with models, direct and remote sensing measurements available with AUH yielded the following publications, exclusively in Journals, besides several awards/honors, in the past 2 years
